Governance Top 100 Joint Winner 2024

We are thrilled to announce the Winner, Outstanding Achievers and Rising Star for Governance Top 100 for 2024

Rahul Roy and Anthony Ingegneri, Executive Managers, Listed, at ASX Listed Insurance Australia Group Limited (ASX:IAG), have been jointly named 2024 "Governance Top 100" winners. This national award recognises their exceptional contributions to corporate governance.

The Governance Top 100 awards recognise and celebrate individuals that have demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in governance within their organisations. This year’s winners were selected from a high calibre of nominees, and were judged on a range of criteria, including their contributions to governance best practices, their commitment to ethical leadership, and their impact on their organisations and communities.

Launched in 2020 by 3YS Owls Governance Consultants, Co-founder and Director of 3YS Owls, Ainslie Cunningham, said, both Anthony and Rahul are worthy winners chosen from a high calibre of outstanding achievers and finalists for this year that represent a broad range of nominees from a variety industries across multiple sectors, including Government and Government Owned Corporations, ASX Listed entities, not for profits, private and unlisted public entities, and a good mix of diversity.

This award truly highlights the individuals that are responsible for governance within their organisations and emphasises the value and benefit of their contribution to robust governance. Both Rahul and Anthony are true examples of that. With Rahul as a finalist for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and Anthony as a finalist for 2023 and 2024, as well as both being named outstanding achievers for 2023, and now taking out this year’s award for joint winner of Governance Top 100 2024.

Award winner, Rahul Roy said that he is thrilled to have been recognised as a joint winner in this year’s Governance 100 Awards and appreciates this recognition as we place more and more importance in recognising the importance of good governance in the corporate sector and the work done by professionals to maintain and upload those standards.

Award winner, Anthony Ingegneri expressed his pride in being a joint winner this year and to have been an active industry advocate while leading advancements in IAG’s governance ecosystem to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements. With an increasing focus on governance, he believes industry advocacy is important in helping shape future regulatory blueprints.

This year a new category was also introduced for a Rising Star award for emerging talent in the profession, with the award going to Jaya Prasad (pictured), who was also an Outstanding Achiever, as noted above.

The judging panel was impressed by the high standard of the submissions from the nominees and appreciate that Governance professionals are humble and can find it challenging to promote themselves, but each of the nominees should be proud of the contribution that they have made and will continue to make to governance within their organisations. Some of the attributes that stood out amongst these outstanding governance professionals included an increased utilisation of innovative solutions including Artificial Intelligence and cyber security to manage compliance with regulatory, governance and risk frameworks, focus on ESG reporting and sustainability, net zero emissions targets, climate-change related financial disclosures, and modern slavery reporting. Congratulations everyone and thank you again for your continued effort to enhancing governance within your organisations.
